Touching Lives Through Education
This scholarship fund was established in memory of Don & Debbie Golden by their daughters. Mr. and Mrs. Golden tragically lost their lives in an automobile accident in 2005. Debbie worked as a counselor at Mount Vernon Elementary School in North Hall and had 30 years experience in education. Don taught marketing and coached football and golf at North Forsyth High School. He previously was the head football coach for six years at North Hall High School. Don was a punter on the University of Georgia Football team under legendary coach Vince Dooley. Scholarships will be awarded to rising seniors at the University of Georgia majoring in education. Contact UGA's financial aid office for more information.
