For Gainesville High School graduating seniors
This fund was established by family and friends in memory of Jody Tucker who passed away suddenly in 1996. Jody was a student at Gainesville High School from 1981-1985. He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Spanish Club, Key Club, Student Council and Golf Team. He went on to graduate from the University of Georgia in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and a major in Advertising and a minor in Business. Jody enjoyed golf and various kinds of music. He liked "sketching" and designed many different promotional materials for local events and businesses. He is remembered for his remarkable compassion for others.
This quote, from one of Jody's favorite movies, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," was found on a scrap of paper in his handwriting: "I've said it before and I'll say it again. Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around Every once in awhile, You might miss it."
