For Gainesville High School graduating seniors
This scholarship was stablished in 2001 by family and friends in memory of Bill Wilson who lost his battle with cancer in November 2001. Bill was a GHS Red Elephant star athlete in football and baseball. He went on to Dekalb South Junior College and West Georgia College and was named an "All American" at both schools. The scholarship is awarded annually to help Gainesville High School student athletes attend college and hopefully continue their athletic interests beyond high school.
