NGCF ANNOUNCES RECORD-BREAKING GRANT AWARDS EXCEEDING $692,000
Community Grant Cycle awards over half-a-million dollar

Gainesville, GA – [Date] – The North Georgia Community Foundation (NGCF) is excited to announce that more than $692,000 has been awarded through the NGCF Community Fund this year. These impactful grants are made possible by the generosity of both current and legacy NGCF fundholders, as well as the foundation’s grant programs.

The Community Grants Program, a cornerstone of the foundation, reached an exciting new milestone this year, awarding $520,007 — the largest community grant cycle in NGCF’s history. Thanks to the enduring partnership with the W. Frank and Lillie Mae Green Fund at NGCF and the unwavering support of additional generous fundholders, an array of both programmatic and general operating needs have been met.

The recipients of this year’s Community Grants were honored together at a special celebration in early December. Additionally, the NGCF Opportunity Grants Program, which announced five recipients in November, contributed an additional $127,500, further extending the foundation’s reach and making a greater impact across North Georgia.

“As we celebrate the accomplishments of this year, NGCF extends heartfelt gratitude to every fundholder, board member, and nonprofit partner we have the opportunity to work with,” said Michelle Prater, NGCF President & CEO. “Together, we are creating a legacy of positive change that will resonate for generations to come.”

The NGCF Grant Programs are made possible by the NGCF Community Fund, an endowed fund that continues to grow through thoughtful donations and strategic investments, ensuring lasting support to nonprofits and critical needs in our community.
