G.R.O.W. (Growing Roots of Wisdom) is the umbrella of all of our non-profit educational opportunities. Whether you are looking for leadership training in the non-profit field or developing yourself or looking for opportunities to further develop your organization – G.R.O.W. has something for you. Seminar Series


Executive Coaching Program
Led by: Neil Skalrew
A 12 month program for executives of non-profit organizations.

2019 dates: January 16, other dates are TBD
Time of each seminar: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. plus individual coaching sessions
Cost: $2,000 up-front [a $1,000 grant is given back based on participation and completion of program]


Developing Leaders for the Next Level
Led by: Duane Hinshaw
This 6 month program is ideal for up and coming leaders in non-profit organizations.

2019 dates: Jan. 29, Feb. 26, Mar. 26, Apr. 30, May 28 & Jun. 25
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m
Cost: $1,000 up-front [a $500 grant is given back based on participation and completion of program]

Learning Sessions

Learning sessions are offered twice a year to offer attendees a chance to dive further into topics that will be of interest to them and their growing organizations.

2019 Learning Sessions:

February 18 [9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.] Leadership through Ethical Decision Making. Presented by: Rose Proctor.
This session includes lunch and is offered at no cost to the participants [it is sponsored by the North Georgia Community Foundation and United Way of Hall County] but space is limited to RSVP today to reserve your spot!

October 23 [9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.] The Arts of Working Together. Presented by: Sue Davis-Westmoreland
Cost: $50, includes lunch

Luncheon Series

Our nonprofit luncheon series provides local nonprofit organizations with programming on key topics important to nonprofit leaders and board members. All programs are at the North Georgia Community Foundation.

Networking: 11:00-11:30 a.m.
Program: 11:30 a.m. -1 p.m.
Cost: Registration is $20 and includes lunch and drinks.
