GAINESVILLE, GA. – The North Georgia Community Foundation (NGCF) has continued its support in the community by distributing $426,500 scholarship awards to students pursuing their post-secondary education this Fall. The funds are the total of 217 awards from Scholarship Funds administered by NGCF and follow on from last year’s distribution of $385,000.

Megan Martin, NGCF VP Marketing & Development and NGCF scholarship fundholders Randy and Wayne Jessup attended the Gainesville High School Honors Night to present the first scholarship for the Susan Bible Jessup Memorial Scholarship Fund

NGCF currently oversees 65 Scholarship Funds, with each one tailored to specific eligibility criteria such as the student’s field of study, academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and financial need. These scholarships are available annually to high school seniors, current college students, and non-traditional students.

“We are honored to work with people who desire to support our next generation, and we appreciate the opportunity to create and administer Scholarship Funds that fulfill this passion. Each NGCF Scholarship Fund is tailored to our fundholders specifications and provide awards to assist deserving students in continuing their education.” said Megan Martin, VP of Marketing & Development at NGCF.
