Deeply Rooted. Growing North Georgia.
The Oak Society was created by the North Georgia Community Foundation (NGCF) to engage the next generation of Hall County in philanthropy. It brings together individuals who are passionate about giving back — combining their resources to make a greater collective impact. Together, members amplify their individual contributions to create larger, more meaningful grants that drive lasting change in our community.

General Membership
General membership to the Oak Society starts at $500 annually. Each membership will secure one vote in the selection of the final grant recipient.
Spaces for general membership are limited.

The grants from the Oak Society are funded by individual memberships with the ultimate goal of creating an endowment that can be passed down to each new generation of philanthropists. Memberships are invested in a charitable fund at NGCF. Grants to organizations and community projects are selected by the membership and distributed from this fund.

The Oak Society was founded in Fall 2024 by 25 community-minded individuals in Hall County who shared a vision of strengthening our region through philanthropy and collaboration. Each founding member committed to a three-year, $1,000 annual membership, providing the crucial seed funding for NGCF to launch, administer, and sustain The Oak Society. In January 2025, general membership opened — along with a full year of events and opportunities for engagement.

We appreciate the following companies who have made the choice and investment to be a founding sponsor of The Oak Society for our inaugural year. Their support plays a crucial role in offsetting the operational costs of our group meetings, helping to preserve the integrity of our fund. This allows The Oak Society’s members to focus on strengthening and growing our endowment. Above all, their contribution reflects a strong belief in the value of this program and the positive impact it will have within our community.
