Celebrating Leadership, Service, and Impact in Our Community
At the North Georgia Community Foundation, we often share Stories of Philanthropy—stories of generosity, vision, and individuals who choose to invest in the lives of others.
This time, we’re sharing a story that may look a little different.
Because philanthropy isn’t only about charitable giving. It’s about a love of humanity. It’s about showing up, leading well, and creating lasting, positive change.
And that kind of impact is often unseen or unknown—done quietly, without expectation of recognition. But it matters deeply. And it’s what strengthens our community every single day.
So to those who lead with heart and serve others—keep going. We see you.
And today, we’re taking a moment to recognize four individuals who have been publicly honored for the very work they would be doing anyway.
We are proud to celebrate these members of our NGCF Board of Trustees for their leadership, service, and commitment to others—and proud to call them part of NGCF.
Recently, each of these leaders has been recognized in our community—an outward reflection of the impact they are making every day.

ONE MORE TO CELEBRATE!
Just as this Story of Philanthropy was about to send, another recognition was announced—and we had to press pause and share:

In honor of Women’s History Month, they highlighted women who are making meaningful contributions and driving change, each nominated by their colleagues and communities.
Michelle was nominated by our newest team member, Griselda, making the recognition especially meaningful. In her nomination, Griselda shared her appreciation for Michelle’s leadership and how she views her as an inspiring woman leader.
