NGCF is Hiring: Manager of Fundholder Experience

Manager of Fundholder Experience

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Manager of Fundholder Experience position operates with a continuous goal to enhance and support the Foundation’s vision, mission, and the overall long-term sustainability. The position’s primary responsibilities are to assist in the fund management process and manage a portion of the Community Foundation’s fundholder portfolio.  This role assists in relationship development initiatives of the Community Foundation to deepen our engagement with our fundholders and help them meet their philanthropic goals. This includes but not limited to communication, engagement activities and community connections. This person has a significant role in CRM and data management, ensuring accurate record keeping and reporting.  The position supports special projects and event preparation. The position reports directly to the President & CEO.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following areas of focus are essential for the Manager of Fundholder Experience:

  1. Fund Management:
  • Analyze new and existing funds and work with relevant NGCF team members to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Manage and ensure the accuracy of fund files in all databases
  • Periodically review fund documentation, ensuring that it is up-to-date and in compliance with NGCF’s National Standards Accreditation
  1. Fund Stewardship
  • Work with personal portfolio of fundholders to develop their philanthropic goals
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current NGCF fundholders, always providing them an exceptional customer experience
  • Assist in managing, updating and maintaining fundholder CRM database with vital information about newly established funds and new and current donors
  1. Data Management
  • Assist in data analyzation and reporting
  • Capture important information and data, ensure that it is entered appropriately into databases so that the NGCF team can provide the highest level of service to our fundholders
  1. Additional Responsibilities:
  • Manage special projects as directed by the Director, Strategic Initiatives or President/CEO
  • Assist in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of grants from funds
  • Periodically represent NGCF at community events, program-related meetings and conferences
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the President/CEO and Vice President of Marketing & Development

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Ability to strategically plan and organize
  • Ability to develop & maintain an accurate database
  • Proven ability to interact favorably with constituents and team
  • Skills in database software management desired; knowledge of Foundant, Excel, Word, Adobe and/or MailChimp a plus
  • Ability to perform and understand basic financial analysis (ex. reconcilements)
  • Ability to plan strategically, set priorities, multi-task, plan work, communicate effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to create meaningful relationships, internally and externally
  • Ability to analyze numbers for discovery and planning purposes & maintain donor records
  • Strong teambuilding and partnership skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3-5 years of experience in data management and recordkeeping
  • 3 years in relationship development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook programs
